Deeper Thoughts on Prayer

We had asked this couple to share some deeper thoughts on prayer, how to pray about this "Campaign of Hope", and how meaningful it can be.  Well, we wanted to share with you this absolutely beautiful entry!  Please read this and share with us;

It really isn't anything special, but we always say grace before each meal.  At the end of grace, we usually mention a list of family and friends that we are praying for.  Once we received the Capital Campaign information, we ended each meal prayer with "... and God, please help us decide how we can contribute to our capital campaign".

We would be thinking about it as well - and at times we would discuss our reflections, concerns and where we were  regarding an amount.  After praying about it for awhile, we realized how much we enjoyed our season tickets for UofL football and basketball.  And we also realized how much enjoyment we get from going to church at Epiphany.  So we knew that we could contribute the same amount we do for our season tickets to the campaign.

Hopefully, this provides you some additional insight.  Thanks!

A Word From Sister Mary

Building a Future of Hope

“I alone know the plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” (Jer. 29:11)

As members of a universal church, we are now being called to respond to the needs of the Archdiocese of Louisville and to the needs of Epiphany.  Those who have gone before us have laid a strong foundation of faith exhibited in the good works and ministries of this Archdiocese and here at Epiphany, our home.

Campaign for Hope Packet Distribution

Building a Future of Hope logoWe're trying something new!  Hopefully it'll be faster and easier than what we've done before.

This coming weekend, May 2nd, and the following weekend, May 8th and 9th, there will be a distribution of packets with information on the Campaign for Hope.

As you are coming into church, please pick up a piece of paper on which to write your name and address.  When you leave, you simply exchange the piece of paper with your information for a packet.

If you can, please pick up your packet -- it saves the parish on postage!
