Wedding Assistants

Preparing for a wedding can be a very demanding time for the bride and groom. Volunteers in this ministry help facilitate some of the many choices that must be made as well as function as a personal liaison with the couple to ensure a faith-filled celebration will be provided for them. Most people are assigned to help with two or three weddings a year.

Wedding Assistants Needed

Wedding bouquet and ringsFor many years now, Epiphany has been blessed by having a very special, very rewarding ministry to couples being married here.  Assignments are generally not more than 3 weddings per year. Wedding Assistants are completely trained by our seasoned assistants relative to questions the engaged couple may have, choices they may make, the wedding rehearsal and the wedding itself.

If you’re interested in joining this team or need further info, contact Linda Thienemann.

Marriage

Marriage at Epiphany

Anyone wishing to be married at Epiphany must either be a dependent child of a registered family or be a registered parishioner him/herself. This registration must have taken place at least three months prior to the request for marriage. In addition, the Archdiocese of Louisville requires a 6-month preparation period prior to any wedding. Call the pastor as soon as possible to begin preparations and tentative scheduling for your wedding date. During that time you will be required to complete the pastor's choice among three approved marriage preparation programs: Foundations for Marriage, Engaged Encounter, or our Couple-to-Couple program.
