Cup and plate (Eucharistic Ministers)

This ministry entails the distribution of the Eucharistic bread and wine to members of the community during the communion rite. Ministers sign up for one of twelve stations upon entering the Worship Center for liturgy. No special pre-assignments are made; however, a single coordinator for this ministry is assigned for each liturgy. Training workshops are held once or twice per year. An Archdiocesan certification is given after training that approves for ministry in all parishes of the Archdiocese. Thirty-nine ministers are needed each weekend.

There are many ways to move from attending church to becoming an active member. Have you ever considered being an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, where you both offer and acknowledge the presence of Christ for each individual before you?

The following witness was given by Chris Chase at our weekend Liturgies.

Why Do The Wine And Eucharist Ministry?

Do you ever have something happen to you that takes you out of your comfort zone?
Do you ever feel a nudge in your life that makes you feel uncomfortable? Something that makes you feel REALLY uncomfortable? I was asked to speak about why I participate in the Wine and Eucharist Ministry at Epiphany. It all started with leaving “a comfort zone.”
