Undoing Racism

This subcommittee is works to improve race relations within and outside the Church of Epiphany by educating themselves and others on issues of race, raising awareness of racial injustices within our community and to seek to eliminate these racial injustices. The group has guest speakers, and read and discuss relevant books and articles. This group meets on the second Wednesday of the month.

ManyHandsWhat: Crossing the Racial Divide Small Group Exploration
When: Starting Tuesday, Sep. 20, 2011

The reality of the racial inequity present in the United States became evident as I studied poverty pursuing my Economics degree. I was grateful to find a group of people six years ago at Epiphany that shared an interest in racial healing in our community as I joined a small discussion group dealing with the face of racism today.

This fall I'll be hosting another small group to explore the problem.
