Community Care

The Community Care Ministry of the Church of the Epiphany is dedicated to the care of the members of our faith community. We recognize that everyone has the right to feel better – body, mind and spirit – regardless of their health, prognosis or condition. We are committed to accompanying our fellow Epiphanites as they travel through life’s journey. We dedicate ourselves to helping them reach for the best that life has to offer them. We will do so with compassion, respect and full knowledge that the gifts of us all can only be fully realized through caring for our Minds, our Bodies and our Spirits.

Bring the joy of Christmas through caroling to the sick and homebound. Come and join us on Sunday December 13, 2009 as we bring a little cheer to the sick and homebound of the parish.

Each Christmas we celebrate the birth of Christ by bringing our voices together and sharing the music of the season with our parishioners. Come and enjoy the friendship and warm feelings as we serve the needs of others and share a hot chili supper afterwards.

Two busses will leave from the Epiphany parking lot at 1:00 PM and will return by 4:00 PM for our chili supper and dessert.

Please call Julie Stuart at the parish office for more information and/or the register. Or sign up at the poster in the Gathering Area of the Worship Center.

Health Care Reform

Health care imageThe US Conference of Catholic Bishops urge us to call our members of Congress (use the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 to contact our Representative or Senators) and tell them health care reform should:

  • Include health care coverage for all people from conception until natural death, and continue the federal ban on funding for abortions;
  • Include access for all with a special concern for the poor;
  • Pursue the common good and preserve pluralism, including freedom of conscience; and
  • Restrain costs and apply costs equitably among payers.
