Baptism
Infant Baptism
Baptism for infants and children is celebrated during a weekend liturgy, six or seven weekends a year. Parents anticipating the birth of a child are encouraged to prepare for the baptism of their child prior to his/her birth. A two-session Baptism Preparation program, held on Monday evenings, is provided prior to the celebration of baptism. The program is for parents and is also open to godparents. Contact Therese Brennan, Adult Formation Minister at 245-9733 x14 for more information about the classes as well as clarification of godparent requirements. To register for the baptism itself, i.e. selecting the mass time that best works for your family, call Bobbe Moutray at 245-9733 x26. Sessions in Spanish are available for Spanish speakers. [Sesiones en español están disponibles para los hispanohablantes.]
Baptism of School Age Children
Parents seeking baptism for their school age children should contact the parish office. A program of formation suitable for the child will be provided by our Family/Children Formation ministers prior to the celebration of sacraments of initiation.
Baptism of Adults
Adults (including young adults of high school age) are baptized after participation in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Check out our Catechumenate page for more detailed infromation. [Click here]
Confirmation for Adults
Adults wishing to complete their initiation into the Roman Catholic Church are invited to participate in a six-week program. Offered each semester, the program is open to participants from any parish in the region. Contact Therese Brennan 245-9733 x14.
