Meet Epiphany’s New Maintenance Person

Epiphany’s New Maintenance Personnel
By Bob Clickner
I have been working with Ray Hilbert since August 2011 as a part-time maintenance person. I grew up in a rural area near Troy, NY, where both of my grandfathers were farmers and my Dad owned and operated a Precision Tool and Die Shop. I learned to love the land and to appreciate how mechanical things were created, starting with a blueprint.
I graduated from Broome Technical Institute (Binghamton, NY) in 1964 with a degree in Mechanical Technology. From there I left New York State for a job in Cleveland, Ohio and began my career of supervising and managing maintenance departments in the Industrial Chemicals sector of products. That work brought me to Louisville, KY and Epiphany in 1986. I retired from PCL Construction Services in 2009.
I am married to Judy and we have 4 children (all now adults) and 7 grandchildren. We love our Community of Epiphany and are active in several ministries, including Hospitality for 9:00 AM Sunday mass. I continue to volunteer two days a week with Habitat for Humanity on Chuck Sgro’s team and hope to keep that up as long as I’m physically able.
I hope to be a value added member of Epiphany’s staff by sharing my knowledge and my love of fixing things so everyone coming to our Community can enjoy the facilities and campus we have and be comfortable here.
