Compassionate Acts Revealed!

This is an act of compassion that was observed by a member of our community this Lent. Perhaps you have seen other such signs of compassion or been moved to act in a compassionate way this Lent. Let us pass on this sign of God’s life.

Just before Christmas someone at the YMCA was going through a really tough time. His wife died of cancer, he lost his job, his house was foreclosed. Friends at the Y set up a mechanism for people to donate to a bank account, and around $4,000 was collected. He remains so grateful for all the love and compassion extended to him during this truly horrific time. Ongoing prayer is still very much appreciated as well, as he moves through the grieving process.
