Obituary for Mary "Rita" Rottman Evans

Mary "Rita" Rottman Evans, 91, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Episcopal Church Home. A longtime member of St. Raphael the Archangel, she several years ago joined Church of Epiphany where her daughter, Jeannie, is an active member. Rita was also an active member of the American Legion Highlands Post Auxiliary #201.

She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Evans, Patti Eichstadt (David) and Cathy Felts; eight grandchildren, Lynn Evans (Shane Cotter), Jeffrey Felts, Catherine Ewalt (Jeff), Amy Ridder (Cliff) and Sarah, Anthony, Daniel and Emily Eichstadt; and two great-grandchildren.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Evans Jr.; and son-in law, Jeffery Felts Sr. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Episcopal Church Home for the loving care given to Rita during her stay.

The funeral service for Rita is Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 7 p.m. at the Church of Epiphany, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road, with private burial. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at Church of Epiphany.
