For Haiti...Another Way to Help

Besides our special collection this weekend, we invite you to consider an appeal for medical supplies. Hand in Hand Ministries, one of our local mission organizations with whom we often partner, has put out a call for medical supplies to fill a 40 foot cargo container to go to Haiti through Supplies Over Seas (SOS). These supplies must be new and unopened--not leftovers from first aid boxes, or old prescriptions, etc. For a list of what can be accepted, please click here: Haiti Relief Items. If you can donate, please call Bill Roof at 502-736-6360, or bring items to Epiphany this weekend (January 16-17, 2010).

We can also volunteer at the SOS warehouse on Arlington Avenue, on Monday, January 18 (Martin Luther King Day). Volunteers are needed for 3-hour shifts:

• 9 am to noon
• 1 pm to 4 pm
• 6 pm to 9 pm

Medical experience is valuable but not necessary. If you would like to help, please call Bill Roof to sign up.
