An Exchange of Heart: A Friendship Mission

On Saturday, February 6th (10:00 AM-noon) in our Community Center, we will offer children Grades 3 through 8 and their parents the opportunity to have an experience of solidarity with our friends in Honduras and an opportunity for artistic expression for Epiphany’s children. This effort is being co-sponsored by Social Responsibility and Family/Children’s Formation.

Epiphany’s Sr. Larraine Lauter (a former art teacher) will lead the children in an artistic exercise to create “works of art from the heart” for children in Honduras, as well as helping all to learn about these children and what life is like for them in Honduras. Then, when she visits these children later in February, Sr. Larraine will take our children’s creations to them, and in turn, create similar “gifts from the heart” with them, to bring back to our children engaged in this project.
