Workshop on Funeral Planning

Funeral PLanningWhat: Workshop on Funeral Planning
When: Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 9:30-11:00 AM.
Where: Epiphany’s Community Center

Want to leave your family a wonderful gift? Back by popular demand, the Community Care and Worship Committees are once again co-sponsoring a workshop on Funeral Planning in Epiphany’s Community Center on Saturday, August 14th, from 9:30-11:00 AM.

  • Parish Nurse, Julie Stuart, will share resources to help with general planning for end of life care.
  • A representative of the Funeral Directors Association will speak and answer questions from that perspective.
  • Sr. Mary, Pastoral Associate, and Julie will give information regarding the pastoral care offered by Epiphany’s ministries.
  • Linda Thieneman, Minister of Worship and Music, will guide you through the resources available to plan funeral liturgies.

You will have access to considerable information regarding funeral arrangements, and have the materials necessary to choose the words of comfort or hope you’d like your loved ones to hear at the time of your passing to new life. A copy of your plans can be kept on file at Epiphany, ready to use when the time comes. If you are interested in attending, please register at Epiphany House (245-9733) by Thursday, August 5th, if possible.

It would be helpful for you to review the materials ahead of time, so that you can ask the questions that arise. All pertinent handouts are available on Epiphany’s website under Sacraments/Funerals. If you are unable to access these handouts, let us know when you register. A packet of information will be prepared and available for pick up on the weekend prior to the workshop (Aug 7-8).
