Operation: SPIRIT - Supportive Parents Involved in Raising Incredible Teens

  • Important message to parents of children 10 to 17:

Parents, have you ever considered how different a world our kids are growing up in vs. the way life was 20 or 30 years ago when we were teens? Learn about the challenges and current issues our adolescents are facing RIGHT NOW. Be prepared. Be involved. Be connected to other parents.

There are two meetings this month that parents can attend in preparation for this new program:

  • Attend an informational meeting on Sunday, November 15 at 10:30 AM in the nursery (Community Center).
  • Attend an informational meeting on Sunday, November 22 at 4:30 PM or 6:30 PM in the Library (during Junior or Senior High Youth Group).

Come learn more about Operation: SPIRIT‘s program which will begin in January 2010 covering topics such as:

  • Four Things Parents Can Do Today to Protect Their Teens
  • Signs and Symptoms of an Unhealthy Teen
  • Why Schools Cannot Raise Our Kids
  • Questions please contact Alice Gob at 339-0323 or Mary Beth Uberti at 759-4909.
