6th Grade Formation Class Social Justice Project

This year your 6th graders decided to take on the F.O.C.A. bill, that President Obama said he would sign if it is passed. F.O.C.A. is the “Freedom of Choice Act” bill that would allow government, our government, to fund and regulate the facilities and staff that perform abortions.

The 6th grade class presented their side of the issue on April 19. They have been researching since December. We had a good turn-out of parishioners to hear their persentations.

There is an on-line petition that you can sign as well. The 6th graders also have red envelopes that are empty, addressed to President Obama, expressing our feelings against abortion. We ask that you pick one up and put you return address on it and mail it. The envelopes will be available for a short time in the Gathering Area.
