Epiphany Conversation

Dear Parishioner,

Our conversations during Lent proved to be a great success in that all who attended were able to safely speak their heart and respectfully receive the heart-felt words of others. I thank the parish leadership and participating parishioners for this soul-shaping experience. As the parish leadership now prepares to name for the parish what we heard (afterwhich the leadership will discern action steps to propose to the parish) I invite you to read over the many comments that were voiced at the conversations. Look for your own; read what others said ... try to capture the vision behind our hearts as expressed in the conversations. This is what the leadership will be doing over the next couple of months and as we articulate what we see we will share that vision with you.

Sincerely,

Fr. Jeff

Friday Evenings with Saints and Mystics

Did you know than an increasing number of parishioners and friends gather once a month to share a meal and hear about some of our ancestors, faith-filled people who have gone before us? We come together one Friday a month at 6:30 to share whatever food people brought.  Then someone who has a connection to a specific saint will share his/her knowledge of that saint's life and spirituality. 'Tis a wonderful evening!

Our current schedule is:

April 11, St. Ignatius of Loyola, presented by Marco Munoz

May 16, Jeremiah, presented by Fr. Cass Volpert

June 6, Angela Merici, presented by Sr. Larraine Lauter

Epiphany Conversation

Dear Parishioner,

On the weekends of January 26/27 and February 2/3, Fr. Jeff shared with the parish the "why" and "how" of the Epiphany Conversation that will be taking place over the next few weeks. The conversation, established by the parish leadership is an attempt to include every parishioner in the decision making process of preparing our parish for its unfolding future. Youth Group: Reflections on NCYC

Five of our Senior High youth along with the 225 other youth from our Diocese and 17,000 Catholic Youth from the United States attended the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Columbus, Ohio last week. During the three-day conference they heard powerful keynotes; attended workshops on leadership, faith, social justice, music, stress and dating to name a few; celebrated their faith with others, and shared the Eucharist together! This is an invaluable experience for our youth and we appreciate the prayers and support of the Epiphany Community. [Read their reflections]
